Tablet computers are the major computing success of the 2010s. Though they’ve been around since the late 1980s, it wasn’t until Apple launched their iPad in spring 2010 that the format started to take off. Since then, the number of devices has exploded, and tablet sales have grown from virtually nothing to a serious percentage of the computing market in just a few short years.
As with all portable computers though, they can break down- or get broken! Tablets in particular are prone to suffering broken screens or broken digitisers (the part that registers finger movement). Other tablet repairs can include faulty and broken socket connections, corrupt software or operating systems needing reinstallation or even water damage.
