Let’s be honest, it’s never a good feeling when your expensive laptop’s display gets smashed, damaged or cracked. However, we have some good news- although this generally does require the replacement of the broken LCD panel (i.e. the screen itself), you might be surprised to find this isn’t as horribly expensive as you’d feared.

So, if your laptop has a broken or faulty screen- whether it’s a plain LCD panel, a TFT display, an IPS screen or an LED-backlit display- chances are we can find and install a replacement for you, and for much, much less than the cost of a replacement laptop.

Faulty backlights or inverters can be another problem with laptop displays. If the picture on yours is still faintly visible, but the display isn’t lighting up (like the “before” picture here), see our inverter and backlight laptop repairs page.


Dim Screen

If your screen isn’t obviously cracked, but the display is simply very dim (i.e. no backlight) or black altogether (see bottom left), it might be not be a fault with the screen itself, but with the “inverter” or case-open switches. (See this page for further details).
