Liquid Damage Corrodes Laptop Board All The Way Through

Here’s another good example of why you shouldn’t just leave your laptop or phone to dry out and hope for the best after it’s suffered serious liquid damage.

The corrosion on this laptop was so bad that it actually ate all the way through the board. Our technicians are good, and they’ve performed near-miracles on occasion, but even they have their limits! Even if this laptop board had been repairable, the amount of work required likely would have made it not economically worthwhile.

Why does this happen? Devices only dry out slowly, and as they do so, the dissolved substances- the things that actually cause the damage- get concentrated and left behind, causing further damage to your phone, laptop or tablet.
