Data Backup and Transfer Services

Backup and Transfer to Another Disc or Drive

Have some or all of the valuable data on your computer backed up by our experienced technicians.

We can offer a choice of options including backup to DVD, BD-ROM, CD (disc media included in price) or external hard drive (additional charge applies).

Don’t risk your data being lost forever due to a faulty hard drive. Once your hard drive has developed a mechanical fault, it can be impossible to recover data and costs can run into thousands of pounds. Back up first and save yourself money and heartbreak!

Whether you want this done as a backup, or you simply want some (or all) of your data transferred to another drive or disc, you can discuss what’s possible with our technical staff. If you would like help with (for example) setting up or scheduling a backup for your home or office computer(s), we can discuss options for this with you.

Scheduled and Off-Site Backups

Off-site backups are an increasingly common solution, and our staff are able to (for example) explain your options for having data at, say, your Arbroath office backed up to a server at your Cupar branch via the Internet. Of course, you’re not restricted to backups between Angus and Fife- the sky is the limit, and we’re here to help you decide what configuration and setup best suits your backup needs.

We always try to balance security and reliability with inobtrusiveness within your current setup. Call us today, and we’ll arrange for one of our technicians to discuss your needs.

Disk Cloning Service

Have an exact copy of your hard drive made by one of our technicians. This makes a “mirror” copy of the drive to another hard disk drive, retaining the exact same data, partitions…. everything!

For example, if you had a clone made of the drive you currently boot from (the one that contains “C:”), you could remove the original drive, plug in the clone instead and boot from it.

Our disc clone service is also suitable if you want to transfer the contents of your current disc to a larger drive.
