XBox Series X HDMI Port Repair in Dundee
Here’s a Microsoft XBox Series X console that came in to our Dundee store with a faulty HDMI port that needed repaired and replaced.
The problem here is that someone elsewhere had already had a go at repairing it… and not only had this previous attempt been unsuccessful, but it had damaged the board around the port itself as well. (You can see this in the microscope photograph showing what it looked like before our own technician worked on it).
So, in addition to the original problem, our technician also had to repair that damage to the board itself. Many repair shops are okay with basic repairs, but this is the sort of thing that requires a pretty high level of competence when it comes to soldering skills, the use of a microscope and general diagnostics. Fortunately our technician managed this- you can even see where he’s had to replace a track- and the board and HDMI port itself were repaired successfully!
