New – Maxam USB 3 Desktop HDD Enclosures

These “SuperSpeed” USB 3 hard drive enclosures have just arrived in our Dundee store. If you’ve never seen a hard drive enclosure before, the idea is simple- you put a regular internal SATA hard drive inside the case, and it converts it into an external USB hard drive. This can literally be done in under a minute- you’ll probably spend more time screwing the case shut than you would fitting the hard drive.

It’s an ideal choice if you have an unused existing internal hard drive, or if you want to read data from an existing drive in multiple computers.

Unlike a lot of enclosures, this one gives you the full benefits of USB 3 (when used with a USB 3) interface. However, we also have other HDD enclosures available- at the time of writing, these include 2.5″ (laptop hard drive) and 3.5″ (desktop hard drive) sized ones from Evo Labs.
